We are a bipartisan coalition of concerned citizens and organizations working together to strengthen our communities and improve public safety by making improvements to Illinois’ supervision system.
Supervision makes up the largest percentage of Illinois’ corrections population, and was originally intended to support successful reentry and individual success. But studies show that our current supervision systems actually contribute to recidivism and create barriers to success for returning citizens.
By passing evidence-based policies that increase government transparency, eliminate counterproductive supervision conditions, and incentivize people to pursue education/employment, we can save taxpayer money while promoting safer, stronger, more stable communities.
Let’s not miss this opportunity to improve our state for generations to come. Help us achieve our mission by joining our coalition today.
